Oliver Loves the Ice!!

For those of you who dont know, we had a near scare with Olivers hip injury! Our normal vet sent us straight to the puppy orthopod where words like "hip replacement" just roll off their tongue! Yikes! After a few days of anti-inflammatory meds he has recovered and has been enjoying ice skating across our front yard!!

Celebrating the Births :-)

Since we were unable to fly back up to Minn to see the boys we held a little celebration locally!! They will be so proud of Uncle Roy and Aunt Rachel when we show them this (in about 20 years)!

Welcome to the World Grant and Grady Severson!!

After a much anticipated arrival Grant and Grady have finally welcomed the world!!! They were born 1.2.09 (so much for the tax break) and are healthy and happy!!

This is how little dogs recover from NYE

Oliver had a little two much fun with his girlfriends, Marley and Ivy (The Caskey's and the Kirts Goldendoodles). He slept pretty much the entire day!

New Years Eve 2009!!

Megan and Jake had a "Party Like It's 1989" party for NYE 2009!! You don't even want to know where all those dresses and blue eyeshadow shades came from!! We had so much fun!! Thank you guys for having us!!!

Christmas with the Stone's

After the Lester wedding we went to Paducah to celebrate Christmas with my parents! Oliver had been with them since my dad's birthday and he had grown so much since we'd seen him last! This picture is of him eating the wrapping paper from Roy's gifts :-).

Alex and Clark's Weddding

Congrats Alex and Clark!! Two of our favorites were married on December 27th (we came home for 36 hours in order to be able to be a part of this special day)! The wedding was beautiful and the reception was held at nostalgic Spindletop. Couldn't ask for a more perfect celebration for a more perfect couple! In the top picture the middle couple is Molly and Ben who will be married this June! We can't wait! The bottom picture is of Alex and Clark's table numbers (so cute! Inside they had a little note to the guests!)

Christmas with the Lowdenbacks

Roy and I spent with Christmas in Minnesota with the entire Lowdenback clan! The above are a few photos from the week we spent with them. The picture at the top is Roy with his sister, Amanda, getting ready to go light the fireworks (to say Happy Birthday Jesus of course!). The middle is Amey with a onesie that says "Thing Two". How funny is that! Two little twin boys toddling around with shirts that say Thing One and Thing Two! The last photo is Amanda getting ready to go pick up Cliff at the airport. She wanted him to recognize her at the airport - I don't think he missed it :-).

Chilly Minnesota

The morning after Emily came we flew to Minneapolis to see the Lowdenback Family. Above is Roy with Mark, one of my BIL's (brother in law). These underdressed fellas (the weather was in the negatives) decided to walk across the frozen lake next to Amey's house. I particularly like the Captain Morgan-esque pose from Mark!!!

Em's Trip to KY

One of my best friends, Emily, was able to come to Kentucky while on break from grad school at GWU!! Our time in Central Kentucky only overlapped by one day so we had to take advantage even though I had to catch a flight out at 5 am the next am! Here is a pick of her and Kate at Malabu (where one of her favorite bands was playing). We went to dinner at Ted's, Malabu, and then Hugo's. . . It was wonderful to see her again! I can't wait till our trip to New York in March!

Dad's Birthday

So much to catch up on; where did December go!! At the begining of the month my parents and sister came to Lexington to celebrate my dad's birthday and for Lauren to look at Georgetown College, Transy, Berea, and UK as possible places for her college career (my sister is a junior at Lone Oak High School in Paducah). We had a wonderful time! The above pictures are of my dad's cake; we tried to get a cake with a boat, but of course couldn't find one locally so I got a "Finding Nemo" cake sans Nemo and crashed a jet ski into it! Ha! My dad thought it was hysterical! The writing on the cake says "Chillin da Most" from Kid Rocks song, "Cowboy". The lyrics he likes are, " Buy a yacht with a flag sayin chillin the most. Then rock that b***** up and down the coast." Weird, I know - my dad likes Kid Rock. He wants to rename his boat from Obsession III to Chillin the Most! Roy and I were so happy my family was able to come and visit!!
